And the story continues…

Fans of Stephen King’s It adaptation have reason to be thrilled, as earlier today director Andy Muschietti released a first look at James McAvoy as stuttering “Loser Club” leader Bill Denbrough on Instagram, in honor of the actor’s 40th birthday.

Check out the photo and Muschietti’s post below:

It made a blockbuster splash when it released in September of 2017, earning  $123 million opening weekend and over $700 million worldwide to make it the highest grossing film of all time. Jaeden Lieberher, who played young Bill in the first film, is set to reprise his role along with co-stars Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs, and Jack Dylan Grazer.

Starring alongside McAvoy in It: Chapter 2 are Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, and Andy Bean as Stanley Uris. It: Chapter 2 is written by Gary Dauberman with Andy Muschietti continuing his role as director.

It: Chapter 2 will float—er—premiere in theaters everywhere on September 6 2019.
